THANK YOU!!!

This page is probably the most important page of them all… The Thank You Page 🙂

Travelling the world has been our dream for over a decade and we are so incredibly grateful for all of the support, encouragement, and kindness people have show us to get to this point. We have been so completely blown away by the generosity of people we have already met and it is only the first few weeks into our journey.

Thank You doesn’t begin to show the depth of gratitude we have towards these people but it is our small way of recognizing them throughout this adventure.

  • Steinmann Family – Thank you for ALWAYS encouraging us to live our dreams and travel. This has been something I have wanted to do since I was a kid, spinning the globe and seeing where my imagination would take me. I know being gone for some time isn’t easy for you…so we promise to make the most of it. Thank you for your unconditional love and support!

  • Brink Family – Thank you for your continued support throughout this whole planning process. We know it hasn’t been easy with us changing plans over and over, and now especially since there are big and exciting changes happening in the family. Thank you for loving us and being excited for us! -Thanks for letting me take your boy to Thailand Momma B 🙂

  • Aunt Jennie – Thank you for your generous gift!
  • Colleen – Thank you for your NEVER ENDING waves of positivity and support. You have only made this journey richer. Thank you for all of the travel necessities and special travel guardians. We keep them close.
  • Capitol Theatre Family – Thank you for 5 amazing years of friendship, hard work, and a ton of fun. Deciding to move on from the theatre took us over a year and a half to commit to. It was the hardest decision we had to make in order to make this leap. Thank you for you understanding and unending support. Thank you for our new MacBook Pro to help us document this trip. We are so overwhelmed by your love.Capitol Family

  • Tim & Erin -Thank you for inviting us to your AirBnb for an amazing hot suppers, wonderful conversations, a hot shower, and a warm (and comfortable) place to sleep… a.k.a not our tiny car in rainy, cold Iceland. Thank you for being the pivotal starting point in our trip. We cannot express what your generosity meant to us.

Erin and Tim

  • Alexis – Thank you to this beautiful stranger from L.A. who open-heartedly offered to fill up the rest of our gas tank in Iceland for nothing in exchange when we couldn’t manage to get our credit cards to work at various stations and were already 30 minutes late for check in at the airport.
  • Balt & Aty – Words cannot describe the generosity of this couple! Thank you Balt and Aty for hosting us for the time we were in Holland. Thank you for all of the brood and Hagel, Pannkokenhuis, spek, kasse, and especially Stomppot! Thank you for a warm bed, showers, allowing us to do our laundry, letting us use your bikes and car. Thank you for introducing us to your/our family. Thank you for being our translators when we couldn’t communicate with others. Thank you for finding us awesome train and hotel deals! Thank you for driving us to Kinderdijk, Arnhem, Wolfeze, Bronkhorst, the palace, train station twice, the hunt for wild pigs, Hollands biggest waterfall, Den Haag to show us your roots, The Hook of Holland, and the list goes on!!! You were the most perfect tour guides! Thank you for all of the Sunday night shuffleboard matches! We promise to practice and get better for our next match…hopefully sooner than later! Thank you for picking us up and dropping us back off at the airport. Thank you for making us feel like we were at home…away from home. We cannot thank you both enough for what you have done for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are definitely going to miss you guys!

  • Faiez & Corrie – 4 years is too long and I was happy to see you again my CISV friend. Thank you for meeting us in Leiden and celebrating the 3 October Festival! Thank you for inviting us into your home and making us a delicious traditional Dutch meal: Stamppot! Until we meet again my friend 🙂

Faiez and Corrie

  • The Versluis Family – CISV. Those 4 letters describe this family and our experience here to a T! I met Iskander in Spain in 2013 for our program and seeing him again (about a foot and a half taller!!) brought back so many wonderful memories. When we contacted Alexander to see if we could stay at his house for our weekend in Amsterdam, he did not hesitate and welcomed us with open arms. We are so grateful for this family. They quickly invited us to join them for their Friday night movie night of Transformers 4! Such a welcoming family! The next night they invited us to join them for a delicious supper and wonderful company. Little did they know (and what may have slipped our minds at the time) that night was Thanksgiving back home in Canada and when we both realized this, we told them about this holiday and how truly thankful we were for them. It felt like we were back home with family, just in Amsterdam 🙂 Thank you Alexander, Hanneke, Iskander, Philip, and Quinten for having us at your beautiful home. We felt so loved and welcomed. If you ever come to Canada our door is open to you 🙂 CISV ❤

  • Douwe and Wytske – Thank you for taking us out for pizza on our first night in Fryslan. Getting to know you was so wonderful and having you as our Fryslan tour guides was so helpful in retracing some of our family history. Thank you for the beautiful wood carved chained that your father made. This is so generous of you to pass down such a creative family heirloom. Thank you for everything you both did for us. This experience was all the more amazing because of you two!
